OHPRG 2014 Conference

The Oral Health Promotion Research Group, Ireland will hold its annual conference on 11th September, 2014 in the Ashling Hotel, Dublin.  The theme of this year’s conference is “Promoting Oral Health: Challenge of a lifetime. ”   The theme reflects both the need for oral health promotion throughout the life course, from infancy to old age, and also the fact that the promoting oral health is a challenge that is faced by all oral health professionals throughout their working lives.  See Flyer.   Be sure to put the Date in your Diary now.

The varied programme is relevant to all members of the dental team, and showcases examples of current health and oral health promotion initiatives in Ireland. We also have an innovative section on water fluoridation, which will provide an insight into the current anti-fluoridation campaign in Ireland as well as the most recent evidence on the health effects of fluoridation. Given that water fluoridation is the cornerstone of caries prevention in Ireland, it is essential for all those involved in promoting oral health to keep up to date with both sides of the fluoridation debate.  If you would like to be part of this informative conference, please register here.

Conference fee (includes lunch and tea/coffee):  Early registration (before 1st September): Dentists €50, Others €40   Fee on day of conference: €60 for all
