Minister Frank Feighan has launched the Healthy Weight Campaign, aimed at supporting people in their 20's and 30's, to prevent weight gain by focussing on four pillars – sleep, stress, physical activity and nutrition.
The Dental Health Foundation is delighted to support this campaign with our 'Keeping Oral Health in Mind' postcard which has tips for a Healthy Mouth, Healthy Mind, Healthy Body.
It is important to create a positive daily routine, by brushing teeth twice a day, drinking lots of water and reducing your intake of sugary foods and drinks. Regular exercise may help to relieve stress (stress is a risk factor for gum disease), as well as help prevent weight gain.
