Here are some practical tips to help you and your family reduce your consumption of sugary drinks
- If you or your child drink soft drinks try to reduce them gradually.
- Make sure to add plenty of water to squashes and cordials. Increase the amount of water you add each time to help reduce your taste for sweetness.
- Save sweet drinks for occasional treats only.
- Keep a jug of fresh water in the fridge as most people prefer water when it's cold.
- Use colourful cups with a favourite character or a fun reusable straw to make it more interesting for your child.
Remember plain tap water and milk are the most tooth friendly drinks!
